As someone who has grown up with a diet of classic films and modern cinematic masterpieces, I can’t help but be thrilled about the upcoming Netflix release of “Woman of the Hour.” The trailer alone promises a gripping narrative that combines the allure of Hollywood with the chilling suspense of a serial killer thriller.
A fresh preview for the upcoming Netflix thriller movie titled “Woman of the Hour” has surfaced. This film, which is helmed by actress Anna Kendrick and features her performance as well, is set to debut on Netflix in October.
The extraordinary tale unfolds about an ambitious actress in 1970s LA and a long-time serial killer, both of whom find their paths crossing as they are selected for a show called The Dating Game.

Who is in Woman of the Hour?
Kendrick is set to direct her first full-length film titled Woman of the Hour. She’s recognized for portraying Jessica Stanley in the Twilight series and Beca Mitchell in the Pitch Perfect series, as well as various roles in films like Up in the Air (2009), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), 50/50 (2011), Drinking Buddies (2013), The Last Five Years (2014), Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates (2016), A Simple Favor (2018), and Noelle (2019). Furthermore, she lends her voice to Poppy in the Trolls films produced by DreamWorks Animation.
Joining Kendrick in the cast are Daniel Zovatto, Tony Hale, Nicolette Robinson, Pete Holmes, Autumn Best, Kathryn Gallagher, and Kelley Jakle for Woman of the Hour.
The movie’s screenplay was penned by Ian McDonald. Alongside him, Kendrick, Stuart Ford, Zach Garrett, Miguel A. Palos Jr., Joe Penna, Matthew Helderman, Luke Taylor, Paul Barbeau, Sean Patrick O’Reilly, Andrew Deane, and Stephen Crawford all act as executive producers. Roy Lee, Miri Yoon, J.D. Lifshitz, and Raphael Margules, however, have producer roles.
After receiving favorable critiques at its premiere during the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2024, “Woman of the Hour” is set to stream on Netflix starting October 18, 2024.
