Speaking with Rolling Stone, she shared an example: “I attended Silk Sonic in Las Vegas and they confiscated my phone. I’ve never had a more enjoyable concert experience.
The carpenter expressed, “I truly felt as if I had stepped into the 1970s – it seemed surreal to me. In truth, I felt like a part of it all. Everyone was singing, dancing, connecting eyes, and laughing. It was simply, incredibly, a breathtaking experience.
The 26-year-old performer admitted that having phones at concerts allows for capturing priceless moments. Yet, she emphasized that the idea of fans filming her as she ages is a strong incentive for her to prohibit mobile devices during her performances entirely.
Growing up, it’s been commonplace to see people using iPhones at concerts, which seems ordinary to me. However, the length of my touring career and my age may influence this perspective. If I choose to continue performing or if I reach a certain stage in life, I’d prefer audiences to put their phones away. They shouldn’t zoom in on my face, as it currently looks soft and smooth.
