We did it, Joe! Penn Badgley reveals You season 5 has finished filming

As a dedicated fan who has followed Joe Goldberg’s twisted journey since the very beginning, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions now that Penn Badgley has officially wrapped filming for You season 5. On one hand, it’s bittersweet to say goodbye to this captivating character and the intriguing world he inhabits. On the other, I can’t help but be excited about what lies ahead.

Show ’em the shoulders, not the boulders.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve been eagerly following updates about our favorite series, ‘You’. Production listings have hinted that the fifth season was in its final stages for quite some time now. This spring, the cast and crew embarked on filming the concluding chapters of this captivating tale. Now, it’s off to post-production before it graces our screens on Netflix. Can’t wait to unravel the mysteries that await us in season 5!

It appears that the release date for season 5 of “You” on Netflix is uncertain at this time. Earlier predictions suggested that we might not see it until 2025. So far, the series hasn’t been featured in any promotional materials for 2024. With numerous big shows set to premiere later this year, fitting season 5 into the final months of 2024 seems challenging. I’d be thrilled if we could watch it on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day 2025, but considering Netflix’s promotion strategies, that might be quite unlikely.

It seems more probable that the release will be around February or March 2025, considering Netflix previously released season 4 during those months, which I believe turned out favorably.

Although it’s uncertain, I’m sure I won’t be able to skip this show, despite not being overly fond of the fourth season. I’m really looking forward to watching Danish Badgley reprise his role as Joe Goldberg on the streets of New York City and returning to the bookstore where we first encountered him in the initial season.

As a dedicated gamer, I can’t wait for season 5 of this captivating series! The cast is phenomenal, boasting names like Charlotte Ritchie, Anna Camp, Madeline Brewer, Griffin Matthews, b (yes, that ‘b’), Natasha Behnam, Tom Francis, Nava Mau, and Pete Ploszek. There are hints of some familiar faces reappearing in the final season, although their return hasn’t been officially confirmed yet. Of course, I’m referring to Jenna Ortega, Victoria Pedretti, Elizabeth Lail, Tati Gabrielle, Amy Leigh-Hickman, and many others who played significant roles intertwined with Joey G’s journey.

It’s not yet confirmed that Netflix has finished filming season 5 of “You”. However, we’re keeping our fingers crossed that they’ll begin advertising the upcoming season shortly!
