Walton Goggins Praises SNL Parody Amid Aimee Lou Wood Feud Rumors

Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood have expressed varying opinions about SNL’s parody of their HBO series, “The White Potus.” While Aimee Lou Wood deemed the sketch as “mean and unfunny” on Instagram, Goggins offered a contrasting view in a post that has since been deleted from his IG story. Their differing views on the SNL parody have sparked speculation among fans, who wonder if there’s a growing tension between the “White Lotus” co-stars as they have recently unfollowed each other on Instagram.

What did Walton Goggins say about SNL Parody of The White Lotus?

Actors Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood, both from The White Lotus, didn’t share the same positive response towards Saturday Night Live’s comedic take on their show. Walton Goggins expressed his appreciation by posting “SMASHING” on Instagram in all caps, but later removed the post.

Earlier, Wood voiced her dissatisfaction with the sketch, labeling it as “not funny.” On Instagram, she clarified her feelings, stating, “I’m not overly sensitive.” She went on to explain that she enjoys a good joke when it is “witty and friendly.” Unfortunately, the SNL sketch missed the mark for Wood. In her words, “The gag was centered around fluoride. I have wide gaps between my teeth, not poor dental health” (as reported by The New York Times).

In another post, Wood stated that she’s been given “apologies” from the SNL team. Furthermore, according to Today, Goggins seems to have commented on the related Instagram post with laughter emojis, which may no longer be visible due to him possibly deleting it and his Instagram story.

Furthermore, there’s been a lot of talk among fans of the HBO show that Goggins and Lou Wood may not be on good terms outside their professional relationship. Following the end of the third season of The White Lotus, it seems that Goggins and Wood have stopped following each other on social media (as reported by Cosmopolitan).

On Instagram, Goggins shared a heartfelt post honoring his and Wood’s characters. The 53-year-old actor expressed his gratitude to Aimee Lou, calling her his partner for an unforgettable journey.

Apart from commenting on the show, The Fallout’s lead actor mentioned his thoughts on Rick and Chelsea’s romantic journey. He expressed, “Rick and Chelsea… For me, it was a love story, burdened by unresolved childhood issues. We all carry such baggage… but can we learn to overcome it? Amidst our sorrow, there is always beauty waiting to be discovered.
