According to recent reports, the forthcoming second season of “Daredevil: Born Again” appears to pave the way for the speculated second installment of a different Marvel Cinematic Universe series – not the one commonly anticipated. As the current series is nearing its conclusion and filming for season 2 has already begun, it seems logical that Marvel might focus on reviving some of their former Netflix shows such as “Jessica Jones”, “Luke Cage”, “Iron Fist” or even reunite them all in a new “Defenders” series. However, the second season of Born Again is rumored to be laying the groundwork for the long-speculated second season of “Hawkeye”.
As a dedicated cinephile, I’ve noticed the intricate web connecting these Marvel series, and it’s fascinating! Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio), the main antagonist in the initial Hawkeye series, has set the stage for trouble, introducing Echo. Later, Echo got her own series, where Charlie Cox’s Daredevil made a cameo. Now, it seems Swordsman (Tony Dalton) from Hawkeye is joining forces in “Born Again”. The connections are undeniably strong.
Rumors about a second Hawkeye series have been circulating for quite some time now. It’s believed that the sequel might follow a single location format, similar to Die Hard or The Raid. The recent report hints that characters from “Born Again” season two will continue their story in Hawkeye’s return, along with Clint Barton’s brother, Trickshot.
All of this is still rumored, but all the pieces fit together really well.
