Maria has introduced a new movie-themed partnership, teaming up with Columbia Pictures to rejuvenate the promotional artwork for the 1986 classic film “Stand By Me“. This heartfelt tale, set in Oregon, was headlined by River Phoenix and tells the story of four boys navigating their town’s aftermath following a murder.
Moving away from its previous movies that were action-packed, such as “The Dark Knight” and “Ghost In The Shell”, the “Stand By Me” collection instead embraces a more sentimental and tender film theme. The camp collar shirts in black and gray are decorated with a recurring pattern inspired by the promotional posters of the movie, similar to how the brand incorporated images in its collaborations with Bob Marley and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
The assortment additionally includes a variety of basic items in black and heather gray such as hoodies, t-shirts, crewnecks, etc., adorned with film posters, brand names, and individual cast images. To complement this collection, WACKO MARIA provides a dad cap embroidered with the movie’s distinctive logo.
On Saturday, March 8, you’ll be able to get your hands on the Wacko Maria x Stand By Me collection, which will be available at our online store and all of our directly managed locations.
