Meta removes Toast Interactive’s Max Mustard & Richie’s Plank Experience from Quest store

This week, an unusual removal took place within the Meta Quest ecosystem: Toast Interactive, a developer specializing in virtual reality experiences, announced that their apps – namely, the VR platformer Max Mustard and the VR experience Richie’s Plank Experience – have been taken down and are no longer accessible on Meta Quest devices.

Through their social media channels, Toast Interactive disclosed as much information as possible regarding the matter with Meta and their games. The team is addressing the issue to the best of their abilities.

Regrettably, it appears that Meta has made the independent decision to take down Toast’s two games, Max Mustard and Richie’s Plank Experience, from their store. Max Mustard is an unassuming platformer where gamers help a young protagonist navigate through numerous stages. Richie’s Plank Experience, however, offers a more eccentric gaming experience, allowing players to stand on planks along towering skyscraper edges, simulating the sensation of standing on the verge of a perilous platform. Players can even incorporate their own planks into the game. It’s an incredibly immersive and surreal experience that carries health and safety warnings on its Steam page.
