Sarfira Box Office Collection Day 3: Akshay Kumar’s Movie Records Continous Increase

As a dedicated fan of Akshay Kumar, I have witnessed his impressive journey in Bollywood over the years. His latest offering, Sarfira, has shown promising signs at the box office after a modest start. Although its opening day collections were below average, the film experienced a significant increase on Saturday and Sunday.

Akshay Kumar’s latest film, “Sarfira,” has been gaining momentum at the domestic box office. Its beginning at the box office was humble, but since then, it has experienced a noteworthy rise in revenue over the weekend. This upward trend suggests that the movie could have a long-lasting prosperity.

Sarfira box office collection day 3: How much did Akshay Kumar’s movie earn so far?

Sarfira had a slow start at the box office, earning only $299 thousand in its first few days. But something changed on the weekend: Saturday saw a significant surge, with earnings jumping by 70%, or an additional $209 thousand. The positive trend continued on Sunday, with a more modest increase of 23.53%, resulting in a total of $628 thousand earned over the weekend.

Based on data from industry monitor Sacnilk, Sarfira generated a revenue of $1.4 million during its initial weekend. However, this strong start places it as one of Akshay Kumar’s less successful recent openings, trailing behind Selfiee which brought in $1.2 million over the same period.

On July 14, 2024, the Hindi version of the film had an attendance rate of 26.46% overall. However, Sarfira showed outstanding results in specific cities such as Chennai (40.75%), Pune (33.50%), Ahmedabad (32.25%), Bengaluru (29%), Mumbai (28.25%), Lucknow (28%), and Jaipur (27.25%). Currently, Sarfira is competing against Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 in box office collections.

Currently, Sarfira’s success largely hinges on how it performs in the upcoming days, particularly during the important Monday screening. Favorable feedback and buzz from audiences could keep its momentum going. Although its start was sluggish, the film’s gradual improvement over the weekend suggests a promising future with a decent box office collection in the end.

For people not in the know, Sarfira signifies Akshay Kumar’s 150th cinematic venture. This is the Hindi adaptation of the acclaimed Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, starring Suriya. Sudha Kongara, who previously directed the original production, is at the helm of Sarfira as well. The movie takes inspiration from the real-life story of Captain G. R. Gopinath, the founder of Deccan Airlines. Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal join Akshay Kumar in this compelling cast.
