Man City and OKX Roll Out Limited Edition NFT Collection for Football Lovers

Manchester City, a renowned English football team, is offering soccer fans and supporters exclusive jersey designs as NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) in a restricted collection.

The new NFT series draws from the achievements of past projects like “Space Ballers,” where astronauts from the city underwent training in an alien base en route to the moon’s blue variant. Now, the organization unveils its latest initiative, named “Unseen City Shirts,” which is accessible on crypto exchange OKX.

Man City and OKX Partners for New NFT Release

Digital artworks can be found on OKX, a crypto exchange situated in the Seychelles. Man City and OKX have maintained a business partnership since 2022, with the latter being the Premier League club’s official partner. The Unseen City Shirts campaign recently introduced on the platform has strengthened this connection.

On Monday, the football club made an announcement: fans can get the latest NFTs for free on OKX without any additional charges. These new NFTs are part of a collection with a special design based on Man City’s 23/24 home shirt. Collectors will have a distinctive and engaging experience with these digital artworks.

NFTs have different degrees of scarcity, categorized as common, uncommon, or extremely rare. Each scarcity level presents collectors distinct benefits: from owning exclusive NFTs such as Roses and Bees, to gaining access to unique experiences like visiting Etihad Stadium and receiving Manchester City home game hospitality tickets.

Manchester City explains that the scarcity of their NFTs is calculated using an algorithm. By obtaining five extremely rare NFTs, you’ll receive exclusive benefits such as participating in a play-on-pitch session, attending two Manchester City games with tickets in hand, and owning an exclusive limited-edition City shirt.

Users Have Until April 29 to Mint New City’s NFTs

On Mondays reveal, OKX introduced “The Roses and the Bees” – an initial edition, jointly produced with concept artist Christian Jeffery. This unique digital collection brings to life Manchester City’s emblems: the Lancaster rose and the industrious bee.

Based on the announcement, the Lancaster rose represents the Lancaster Club’s deep-rooted history, while the busy bees surrounding the roses signify Manchester’s hardworking people. Oximo (OKX) declared that the complimentary minting phase for “The Roses and the Bees” commenced on April 22 and will last until April 25 at 9 AM UTC. Following the conclusion of this minting period, users can examine the rarity of their collections in their digital wallets.

Man City is slated to unveil the second collection later this month on April 29.
