Josh Hutcherson replaces Miles Robbins in Rachel Sennott’s HBO comedy series cast

Actor Josh Hutcherson has now been added to the main cast of Rachel Sennott’s upcoming HBO comedy show. Originally, Miles Robbins portrayed this role in the pilot episode, but following the series being picked up by HBO and alterations made to the character during production, Hutcherson steps into the role previously held by Robbins.

The comedy, currently untitled, centers around a group of friends who have grown apart but are now reconnecting. They explore how time, personal growth, career aspirations, and fresh romantic entanglements have reshaped each member, according to the synopsis. Hutcherson has been added to an already announced roster featuring Rachel Sennott, Odessa A’zion, Jordan Firstman, and True Whitaker. Additionally, Leighton Meester and Quenlin Blackwell are anticipated to make special guest appearances.

In this production, Sennott assumes multiple roles: creator, executive producer, and principal actor. Additionally, Emma Barrie, Aida Rodgers, and Lorene Scafaria are also executive producers. In March 2024, HBO issued a pilot order, and in September 2024, they decided to commission the series due to substantial internal endorsement and favorable test viewings.

Josh Hutcherson is well-known for his portrayal of Peeta Mellark in the Hunger Games series. Additionally, he’s appeared in shows like Future Man, Across the River and Into the Trees, Bridge to Terabithia, Journey to the Center of the Earth, and more recently Five Nights at Freddy’s, The Beekeeper, Long Gone Horses, and The Studio. He is set to reprise his role as Mike Schmidt in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2.
