In the past, Allu Arjun shattered traditional norms when he was the initial South cinema actor to sculpt six-pack abs for his 2007 film “Desamuduru.” More recently, the actor disclosed the individual who inspired him to accept this challenge.
At the Waves Summit 2025, the actor from Pushpa 2 spoke about the significant stigmas that once prevailed in Southern film industry regarding actors showcasing their physical fitness and muscular physique, approximately two decades prior.
As a passionate devotee, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of unease when he labeled it a ‘curse’ woven into the very tapestry of our shared existence. Yet, there was an unquenchable thirst within me to dispel this curse by sculpting six-pack abs. But alas, it wasn’t until one of my fellow performers ignited a fire in me that I finally found the motivation to make it happen.
He stated that what he did had never been attempted by another South actor before, as it goes against cultural norms and is surrounded by numerous cultural taboos.
Allu Arjun continued, “Someone encouraged me to do it by stating, ‘I don’t believe any South actors can achieve six-pack abs.’ It was one of the actresses I worked with who inspired this, and I accepted the challenge as a personal goal, ultimately doing it for my fans.
Moving on to the present, AA has been sailing smoothly through a storm of popularity, thanks to the phenomenal success of his movie Pushpa 2. Directed by Sukumar, this film has become a beacon in South cinema, inspiring countless others to aspire towards its greatness.
Furthermore, it significantly boosted the worldwide popularity of Allu Arjun’s screen persona as Pushpa Raj, creating a frenzy among fans over his distinctive style and appearance.
