As a seasoned gamer with countless hours clocked into the realm of post-apocalyptic wastelands, I must say that Stalker 2 has truly captured the essence of survival and suspense. The sheer number of deadly threats lurking in the Zone keeps me on my toes, and I’ve found myself favoring daytime expeditions to avoid the terrors that night may bring.
In Stalker 2, numerous elements are poised to be lethal, and it’s generally safer to encounter them during the day or when the weather isn’t heavily stormy. If you prefer bright conditions and have spare time, here’s how to embark on your adventures only during the daytime.
How to pass time in Stalker 2
In Stalker 2, if you want to spend some time, look for a sleeping spot. The initial bed is located in Zalissya, specifically inside the building where Hamster, the trader, resides. Enter the building and engage with the bed to catch some shut-eye for a while. You don’t get to choose how long you sleep; the game will automatically rouse you when morning arrives.
In my gaming world, when I find myself tossing and turning, unable to catch those sweet Z’s, it’s often because my character is afflicted by a status ailment. I need to quickly check if they’re wounded, contaminated, or famished. If so, I’ll patch them up with bandages, clean them with alcohol, or feed them some grub. Once the trouble spots are addressed, I can finally snuggle up in my virtual bed and drift off into a peaceful slumber.
To date, I’ve come across beds exclusively in large encampments and Stalker outposts. I haven’t managed to locate any in the smaller structures scattered throughout the map yet.
