Eric Dane made his first public appearance since revealing his ALS diagnosis earlier this year at a recent TV show’s red carpet event in Los Angeles. Accompanied by photographer and filmmaker Janell Shirtcliff, he opted for a relaxed red carpet style, donning a white T-shirt, cardigan, and tan trousers.
Dane expressed his positive feelings and appreciation to Variety, stating, ‘I’m feeling great! It’s wonderful to be surrounded by everyone and witness the fruits of our labor as it unfolds on screen.’ Previously, he shared with us why he continues to press forward in his work, despite being challenged by a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects his mobility.
Actor from The Last Ship shared with E! News, “I’m planning to keep going until there’s nothing left to propel me.” Dane also opened up about his reason for partnering with Amazon’s MGM studios. He excitedly explained, “It keeps me on my toes. It pushes me forward, which is crucial at this moment.
Dan mentioned that “work” is significantly impacting his life currently. He expressed, “I truly enjoy being at work,” and added that although there have been some challenges, he generally feels positive. He concluded by saying, “My mood usually stays high, so as long as I end the day feeling good, that’s what truly matters.
In a chat with Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America, Eric Dane shared that he has lost the use of his right arm and mentioned that he fears he may also lose the function of his left hand in a couple of months.
This year in April, the actor who starred in Valentine’s Day revealed his diagnosis with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). According to the Mayo Clinic, ALS is a disorder that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. It’s a progressive condition, often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease, which leads to loss of muscle control.
