Doctor Odyssey won't bring us a new set of medical cases tonight (and here's why)

As a hardcore gamer of life and a dedicated fan of Doctor Odyssey, I must admit this Thanksgiving news has left me feeling like a stranded astronaut without power – lost in space. The absence of a new episode tonight is as disappointing as discovering an empty loot box on Christmas morning!

Unfortunately, enthusiasts of the thrilling series Doctor Odyssey may have to wait a bit longer as Max and his nursing team are having a break tonight, not accepting any new patients.

On this Thanksgiving, November 28th, there won’t be a fresh episode of Doctor Odyssey airing. It’s common knowledge that networks like ABC tend to avoid premiering new episodes of scripted dramas on holidays such as Thanksgiving – it could lead to unfavorable results.

Unfortunately, I have some disappointing news for you. The break will last beyond a single week; we’re currently in the seasonal pause of the show, which is called the winter hiatus.

Doctor Odyssey has aired its fall finale

Last week, the season finale of the first series aired, and it was revealed that Avery discovered she’s pregnant. Here’s the twist: she has no clue who the baby daddy is since she slept with two men. They used protection, but as we all know, condoms can sometimes fail. And that’s exactly what occurred in this case.

Max and Tristan are ready to assist Avery in whatever way possible. In that particular instance, Max stumbled a bit, but Tristan has had similar experiences before. He’s quite adept at choosing the right words. Additionally, Tristan knows Avery better than Max, which allows him to comprehend her current state of mind more accurately.

The final episode of this year has concluded with the fall finale, marking a prolonged hiatus. We’re all geared up for the upcoming season!

Doctor Odyssey will return in the spring

Well, gamers, I’ve got some less-than-stellar news for us. Unlike many other shows that are returning in January, our beloved “Doctor Odyssey” and the entire TGIT lineup won’t be among them. Instead, ABC is keeping all three shows on ice until springtime.

Doctor Odyssey will return on Thursday, March 6. It will still air in the middle of the TGIT block.

At first glance, the pause might appear disheartening, but it could end up being a hidden advantage. Choosing a prolonged winter hiatus means we won’t have to deal with a split schedule between January and May. This results in a more uniform routine since there will be fewer weeks off throughout the year—perhaps just one around Easter time.

Instead of having random gaps due to other shows, wouldn’t it be preferable to have a consistent schedule where your show returns with consecutive new episodes leading right up to the final episode?

On Thursdays starting March 6 at 9/8 central time, you can catch Dr. Odyssey’s latest installments on ABC. Don’t miss out; get up to speed with the show on ABC as well!
