On Friday, December 13th, acclaimed Malayalam director P. Balachandrakumar passed away early in the morning. According to India Today, he had been receiving treatment at a private hospital in Kerala for a kidney issue. Tragically, his illness proved fatal and he passed away in Chengannur.

Based on news sources, it’s been reported that Balachandrakumar’s body will be transported to Thiruvananthapuram. On November 11, he was admitted to the hospital due to certain health issues. He had previously undergone bypass surgery. Regrettably, an infection aggravated his state and eventually caused his passing.
Balachandrakumar’s statement significantly impacted the case involving actor Dileep, as reported by Mathrubhumi. His disclosures implicated Dileep in serious charges, suggesting that he had viewed footage of the attack at his home and plotted against investigating officials.
Additionally, Balachandrakumar disclosed that he had encountered Pulsar Suni, a significant suspect in the case, at Dileep’s residence approximately eight months prior to the 2017 assault. It was Dileep’s brother, Anoop, who facilitated this introduction during a housewarming event. Initially, Dileep denied knowing Suni, but later acknowledged their association, requesting that Balachandrakumar maintain confidentiality about it.
In 2017, a controversial case from Kerala concerned the kidnapping and physical harm inflicted on an actress, which is said to have been orchestrated by actor Dileep. It’s alleged that this act was filmed with the intention of using it for extortion later on.
