director shankar is anxiously counting down the days until the debut of his upcoming film Game Changer, starring Ram Charan. Before its premiere on January 10, 2025, this seasoned movie maker shared his enthusiasm for creating biographical films during a recent interview.

During an interview with Cinema Vikatan, the skilled filmmaker shared, “Up until now, I haven’t thought of any concepts for a biographical film. However, if I were to create one, it would likely focus on Rajinikanth.” He didn’t anticipate saying something like that.

In response to the comment, the director elaborated on the fact that there’s little he can add about the renowned figure, Rajinikanth, as people are already well-versed in his life and career. Emphasizing this familiarity, the director stated that when asked about creating a biopic, Rajinikanth was the first name that sprang to mind.

When inquired regarding potential candidates for the role of Rajinikanth, the director humorously responded, “Funny you should ask! It never occurred to me before this moment. But, suddenly, an idea has struck me. Let’s wait and see if it materializes.

It’s worth mentioning that there have been past rumors about a biopic being produced on Rajinikanth. However, no concrete information regarding its production, cast, or crew has been released yet. If the project moves forward, it will be intriguing to see how it unfolds.

In the future, renowned director Shankar is preparing to unveil his highly anticipated political action thriller, Game Changer, on cinema screens. This film stars Ram Charan and Kiara Advani in the principal roles, with the former portraying an IAS officer who embarks on a crusade to eradicate corruption within the political sphere.

The movie boasts a diverse lineup of talented actors, including SJ Suryah in the pivotal role of the villain, as well as Anjali, Samuthirakani, Srikanth, Jayaram, and several others.

Meanwhile, it’s under production that Rajinikanth will be starring in his upcoming film titled “Coolie,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
