Pom Klementieff’s secret role in James Gunn’s Superman movie has been revealed.
In approximately a month, Superman will soar into cinemas, courtesy of DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures. The movie is helmed by director Gunn, with David Corenswet portraying the main character, Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult stepping into the shoes of Lex Luthor.
Who does Pom Klementieff play in Superman?
Previously, Gunn collaborated with Klementieff at Marvel Studios. In the Guardians of the Galaxy films, Klementieff portrays Mantis. Additionally, she made an unacknowledged appearance in Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, a movie that was released in 2021.
Currently, it’s been verified that Klementieff will contribute her voice to the DC Universe. Specifically, she’ll be lending her voice to one of the robots residing within the Fortress of Solitude in Superman.
Gunn revealed to Buzzfeed Australia that “Pom Klementieff is hidden among the robots in the film, and interestingly, it’s not just Bradley [Cooper] playing a robot, but also Pom and Michael Rooker. In fact, those two are actually Guardians themselves.
The fact that Cooper and Rooker were cast was no surprise; it turns out this project features a small reunion similar to Guardians of the Galaxy, considering Cooper lends his voice to Rocket Raccoon for Marvel productions and Rooker previously played Yondu in the initial films. Another robot character will be voiced by Alan Tudyk as well.
Superman, the initial big-screen feature film from DC Studios, is set to fly into cinemas globally this summer, courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures. Directed by James Gunn, Superman is reimagined in the new DC universe, offering a unique mix of intense action, humor, and emotional depth. This Superman is motivated by kindness and faith in humanity’s goodness.
On July 11, 2025, Superman makes his big screen debut in both regular theaters and IMAX screens, launching the initial storyline of the DC Universe, entitled “Gods and Monsters.
