Disney has revealed when we can expect a yet-to-be-named Pixar film, slated for release about a year following the premiere of “Gatto,” an animated movie set in Italy, directed by Luca’s filmmaker Enrico Casarosa.
Cat movie set to hit cinemas on June 18, 2027. The film revolves around a black cat named Nero who’s in debt to a cat mob boss. He unexpectedly forms a friendship that might help him discover his true mission. As of now, the studio hasn’t disclosed the voice cast for this project.
When is the new release date for the mystery Pixar movie?
Starting from 2028, following Gatto, Disney and Pixar plan to debut a secretive animated film on March 10th. At present, only one other Pixar production, the much-awaited Incredibles 3, is slated for release in 2028; however, its specific theater date remains undecided.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excitedly sharing that there’s a shakeup in the creative team for Incredibles 3! The man behind the first two installments, Brad Bird, is stepping down due to his obligations with another project. But don’t worry, he’ll still be penning the script and producing the film as well. Stepping into Bird’s shoes as the new director will be none other than Peter Sohn, a seasoned Pixar filmmaker. I can hardly wait to see what these talented minds bring to life in Incredibles 3!
Though Sohn’s upcoming movie in 2023 will be his third as director, he has been a significant presence at Pixar for over two decades. Before helming Elemental, the critically acclaimed romance comedy, he was an integral member of the creative crew on numerous successful Pixar films like Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Wall-E, Up, Monsters University, Inside Out, and many more.
