This week, Riot Games hinted at the comeback of the Spirit Blossom event for the start of League of Legends’ Season 2 in 2025, and now we have more information about what to expect from the event. A new champion, fresh skins, a novel game mode, enhancements to the game, and many other exciting features are set to debut with Spirit Blossom Beyond when it launches League of Legends’ Season 2 towards the end of April.
In a recent announcement, Riot Games disclosed all details for League of Legends Season 2 and Spirit Blossom Beyond, featuring a developer blog post and YouTube video detailing updates set for April 30, 2025. Among the significant modifications to the game are adjustments to the bounty system (it will no longer activate for the team in the lead) and changes to jungle objective spawn times (the timing of Void Grubs and Rift Herald has been altered). As for the jungle, only the chosen jungler will have access to the Smite spell during champ select, preventing players from trolling each other before the game starts. Additionally, the team plans to enhance the griefing and intentional feeding detection systems to combat toxicity more effectively.
In relation to the Spirit Blossom Beyond event, players can anticipate the debut of a fresh Champion towards the end of the season named Yunara, who made an appearance at the conclusion of the recent Spirit Blossom Beyond animated trailer. Moreover, we’ll introduce the Brawl game mode, which transports us to a lively 5v5 battle on a map from Bandle City. Unlike traditional matches, there are no towers in this mode. Instead, players must maneuver their minions into the enemy base and engage in intense combat against enemy Champions to seize their undefended objectives. This mode fosters exciting Champion-versus-Champion encounters.
Without a doubt, it feels like a true Spirit Bloom event when there are fresh cosmetics to collect! This time around, Spirit Bloom Beyond seems to be brimming with them. Some of the classic Spirit Blossom skins from past events will grace our screens again, but we’re also getting new ones that feature a Spirit Blossom theme for Ashe, Lux, Irelia, Bard, Varus, Zyra, and Ivern. If you’re a fan of the luxurious Prestige skins, you’ll be delighted to know that there will be prestige versions available for both Lux and Ivern. And if you’ve been keeping an eye on the Exalted skin line, get ready because Morgana is about to earn her place as the next Exalted champion!
Keep an eye out for League of Legends, as both Season 2 and the Spirit Blossom Beyond event are scheduled at the end of April. We’ll have more details about the upcoming content as it approaches later this month, so stay tuned!
