Six creators participating in a YouTube tournament against LIV Golf’s team were warned by the PGA TOUR about potential future penalties. This story, initially broken by Flushing It and later corroborated by multiple sources, is currently unfolding, as reported by Hypegolf.
The team responsible for creation, comprising Grant Horvat, Luke Kwon, Rick Shiels, the Bryan Bros, and Fat Perez, stood up against this challenge. As a result, the TOUR retracted their position, but Wesley Bryan’s suspension continues because of his restricted standing on the TOUR.
The Duels tournament by LIV Golf, much like the Creator Classic on the PGA TOUR seen at the 2025 PLAYERS Championship, brings together well-known YouTube golf personalities for a fun match-up. Unlike the Creator Classic, The Duels combines professional golfers with content creators and opts to create a condensed, 90-minute edited version rather than streaming the entire event live.
Of particular interest, five out of the six contenders for this weekend’s Duels have taken part in past editions of the Creator Classic. This fact sparks discussions about what changes might be ahead for the Creator Classic and its potential form without stars such as Horvat, Perez, Kwon and others. Simultaneously, spectators are still discussing whether the PGA TOUR was right to expect commitment from the creators.
