On the evening of March 2, 2027, the Academy Awards ceremony took place, with Conan O’Brien serving as the host. In this event, Anora received the prestigious Best Picture Award, Adrien Brody won the recognition for Best Actor, and Mikey Madison was honored with the Best Actress award.

For the first time, this year’s Oscars were broadcasted live on Hulu. Unfortunately, numerous subscribers encountered problems, including the livestream stopping when the ceremony ran 30 minutes past its allotted time. As a result, viewers watching the show live via Hulu missed out on finding out who won Best Actress and Best Picture awards.
In a conversation, Mills described the current circumstance as “regrettable” and predicted that next year would offer a more enriching experience.

I believe the most beneficial action is to learn from this incident and ensure it doesn’t happen again in the future. It’s not an uncommon issue in streaming platforms, and unfortunately, it may occur again. However, we’re making progress by adapting to our viewers’ preferences and meeting them where they are.
