Massive DBD leaks reveal new 2v8 mode map, survivor and crossover coming soon

Among the latest exciting updates to Dead By Daylight, the introduction of 2v8 (Two versus Eight) mode has been particularly well-received. We’ve already experienced two Limited Time Modes (LTM), and Behaviour Interactive has hinted at more in the pipeline. Although no official announcements have been made, it seems that the LTM is set to return imminently. Rumors and substantial leaks concerning Dead By Daylight suggest a new 2v8 mode map, survivor class, and crossover event are on the horizon.

2025 is shaping up to be another amazing year for Dead By Daylight! The roadmap for January includes the quick return of the popular game mode Chas Shuffle, and in March, we’ll welcome the last licensed killer of Year 9. Following that, we’re likely to see the addition of Five Nights At Freddy’s, and later on, possibly even a Jurassic World-themed anniversary chapter based on leaks.

Over the following year, there are numerous intriguing rumors about Dead by Daylight (DBD) that have been leaked, and one particularly thrilling rumor hints at a collaboration between Dead by Daylight and Resident Evil, featuring a 2vs8 game mode.

Dead By Daylight leak reveals Resident Evil 2v8 mode

According to Dvveet’s recent revelation on X, it appears that a Resident Evil-themed 4 versus 2 mode is expected in Dead By Daylight. This information has been shared by Aricarna and Wazzup on the DBDLeaks Discord server.

Based on the leaked data, it appears that the recent Public Test Build (PTB) includes updates for Freddy Krueger and introduces a new 2v8 mode map – the Raccoon City Police Station, as suggested by the discovered data files.

Furthermore, Dvveet has disclosed that the Resident Evil theme will incorporate new items – green and yellow herbs – which can be utilized by both killers and survivors within the game. Their specific functions in Dead by Daylight (DBD) are yet to be determined as they might be hidden throughout the map.

In February, you can expect an abundance of Resident Evil content with the arrival of both survivor and killer outfit packages. However, at this point, it’s essential to clarify that it remains uncertain whether any new skins will be introduced in Dead By Daylight.

Previously, RuthlessLeaks hinted at upcoming Resident Evil content, and some believe they were referring to the 2v8 game mode. Excited fans have been guessing that Lady Dimitrescu might be included, and it would certainly be exciting if BeHaviour and Capcom introduced a Legendary costume for her.

New DBD 2v8 mode survivor class

Additionally, similar to the revelations about Resident Evil, information leaked regarding Dead By Daylight has hinted at a new survivor class joining the 2v8 mode. This new class, known as Meatshield, is rumored to have the ability to dash and stun killers with their movement.

As a dedicated fan, I’m eagerly anticipating the upcoming release of the third installment of 2v8 mode, although Dvveet has hinted that we might see it in February. Previous leaks have uncovered files suggesting that Oni and Legion’s maps will be incorporated into 2v8, a development that I believe is still on the horizon for future updates.
