Amongst Jordan, Lindo, and myself, the star-studded cast of Sinners also features Jack O’Connell, Jayme Lawson, Wunmi Mosaku, Omar Benson Miller, Hailee Steinfeld, Li Jun Li, Lola Kirke, and others.
In an attempt to escape their turbulent past, identical twins (Jordan) decide to return to their roots, hoping for a fresh start. However, they soon realize upon their homecoming that a far more ominous threat is lurking, eagerly anticipating their return. This encapsulates the plot summary of the movie.
Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan have a history of teaming up together. Their first collaboration was on Coogler’s directorial debut, Fruitvale Station in 2013. Later, Jordan portrayed Adonis “Donnie” Creed in Coogler’s film, Creed, released in 2015. They continued their partnership in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Jordan playing Erik Killmonger in the highly praised Black Panther, which came out in 2018.
Besides being an executive producer for the sequel of Creed, released in 2018 (Creed II), Coogler also served as a producer and contributed to the narrative for the upcoming third installment in the series, titled Creed III. This latest film was helmed by director Jordan.
Besides handling both writing and direction for the movie, Coogler is additionally serving as producer through Proximity Media in collaboration with Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian. Ludwig Göransson, an Academy Award winner, will act as an executive producer alongside Rebecca Cho and Will Greenfield.
