As a long-time fan of Telugu cinema, I must say that Pushpa 2: The Rule has undeniably taken my breath away! Being a part of the audience who grew up with Allu Arjun’s electrifying performances and Rashmika Mandanna’s enchanting charm, it’s heartwarming to witness their on-screen magic once again.
Since its debut on December 5, 2024, the film Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, has been creating a storm at the box office. As the movie ignites the big screens, its tunes and dance moves have also gained immense popularity, with two newlywed couples recreating one of the film’s iconic dance sequences.
A noteworthy video that’s been making rounds online features a couple delightfully dancing to the tune of Sooseki from Pushpa 2. The popular tune “Sooseki,” crooned by Shreya Ghoshal across various languages, was skillfully created by Devi Sri Prasad. At first, this melodious track became available for streaming in a lyrical video format, incorporating some exclusive behind-the-scenes (BTS) clips from the film.
Ever since the movie was released, the heartwarming Jaathara scene accompanied by the song has received immense acclaim, resulting in overwhelmingly positive feedback from audiences. Furthermore, the catchy hook-step of the tune has gone viral, with many enthusiasts uploading their interpretations on social media platforms.
Moving on to the upcoming film, titled Pushpa 2: The Rule, it serves as a continuation of the story first presented in the 2021 release, Pushpa: The Rise. Starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, under the direction of Sukumar, this sequel follows the narrative from where the original film ended. In the initial installment, we witnessed the life transformation of Pushparaju, a common laborer, who ascended through the criminal organization’s hierarchy to become the ruler of the red sandalwood smuggling empire.
In the sequel, we delve more deeply into Pushpa’s life as he grapples with his personal identity and a romantic entanglement. The story also sheds light on the expansive reach of his aspirations and the challenges he faces.
In the upcoming sequel, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna will reappear in their respective roles, while Fahadh Faasil steps back into his villainous character, hinted at in the ending of Pushpa: The Rise.
Moreover, it’s been revealed that there will be a third movie in the Pushpa series, named Pushpa 3: The Rampage, which expands the story into an epic saga. But, the production for this third film won’t start until Sukumar finishes working on his project with Ram Charan first.
