As a seasoned Star Wars and The Mandalorian fan who has been following the saga for over four decades, I can’t contain my excitement about Pedro Pascal returning as Din Djarin for the upcoming movie. I remember watching the original trilogy on VHS back in the day, and now, seeing Pedro reprise his role is like a dream come true.
In a fresh update, it seems that a stuntman for The Mandalorian and Grogu has hinted at the appearance of actor Pedro Pascal in an upcoming Star Wars film. The Chilean-American star first appeared in the Star Wars universe in 2019 through the highly praised series The Mandalorian. Unfortunately, scheduling conflicts prevented him from reprising his role in person for this year’s The Book of Boba Fett, which featured only Pascal’s voiceover. However, recent glimpses from the set of The Mandalorian suggest that Pedro Pascal may be directly involved with the upcoming movie.
The Mandalorian & Grogu stuntman likely confirms Pedro Pascal’s presence on set
Lateef Crowder, known for being Pedro Pascal’s stuntman in “The Mandalorian” series, shared some behind-the-scenes updates about the show and Grogu with fans on social media. In doing so, he unintentionally revealed that Pascal is working on the set of the movie.
According to Mandoverse Updates’ report, while on his way to the film location, Crowder shared a brief Instagram story showing him in a car with the caption “Stretch good Papa!” beneath it. He additionally tagged Pedro Pascal in the picture, fueling fan theories that the actor from The Last of Us could potentially wear the Mandalorian armor again for The Mandalorian & Grogu.
Following numerous rumors about Pascal’s hectic calendar, fans have been questioning if he would participate in the upcoming Mandalorian movie. However, despite not making a personal appearance in The Book of Boba Fett and not wearing the suit for any significant scenes following The Mandalorian Season 2, Pedro Pascal has not been seen in the Mandalorian costume again. Additionally, his involvement with Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps project has added fuel to fans’ concerns about his potential return.
Despite initial doubts, it appears that Lateef Crowder’s update has indeed verified that Pedro Pascal will play Din Djarin in the upcoming movie as planned. The release date for The Mandalorian and Grogu is set for May 22, 2026, in cinemas.
