As a diehard fan of both Game of Thrones and Dune, I can hardly contain my excitement as the worlds of these two epic fantasies collide in the new series, Dune: Prophecy. The familiar faces from the Westeros saga adding flavor to this desert spice is like a feast for the fantasy-loving eyes!
Game of Thrones and Dune share some common elements.
The deep topics of righteousness, kindness, goodness versus wickedness, along with political machinations and domestic conflicts, are common threads in these fictional works.
In the new series Dune: Prophecy, these epic worlds collide to some extent.
Familiar faces in Dune: Prophecy
Mark Addy, who gained fame as Robert Baratheon in the initial season of ‘Game of Thrones’, takes on the role of ‘Evgeny’ in ‘Dune: Prophecy’.
Previously notable within the Harkonnen lineage, Evgeny momentarily emerges to chastise Valya for encouraging Tula in her plot to wipe out Orry Atreides and his kin.
As I thought my character, Evgeny, was six feet under, I surprisingly made a comeback in the game’s latest episode – weak and needing an oxygen tank, much like Stellan Skarsgård as the present Baron Harkonnen.
Actor Mark Addy, who played Robert Baratheon, is now part of the cast for Dune: Prophecy, taking on the character of Evgeny Harkonnen.

Apart from being well-known, Archie Barnes is also recognized for playing the character Ser Oscar Tully in ‘House of the Dragon’. In the series ‘Dune: Prophecy’, he assumes the role of Albert Atreides, a representative from a competing faction.
In a brief but significant moment, he helps Tula concoct a deadly trap, an action that eventually brings disastrous results not only for him but also for his loved ones.
For Barnes, it appears to be a singular event, yet his short-lived role makes an indelible impact.
