As an ardent fan of Telugu cinema, I must say that the revelation about Satyadev being a part of RRR, although his scenes were eventually trimmed, has left me absolutely thrilled! This little-known fact adds another layer to the already intriguing tale behind one of the most successful films in recent times.
More casually, we could say: Actor Satyadev is currently making waves with his upcoming movie called Zebra. However, in a recent chat, he shocked fans when he mentioned that he was involved in the film RRR, even though his parts didn’t make it to the final cut directed by SS Rajamouli.
Initially startled when inquired about his work on RRR, Satyadev shared an intriguing story – he had secretly been involved in the movie production, but his part ultimately didn’t appear in the final version because it didn’t harmonize with the overall film. Speaking of the experience as a valuable learning opportunity, he referred to this whole incident as a masterclass for him.
When someone inquired about Satyadev’s absence from acknowledging his role in the movie, he explained that his decision to stay quiet was driven by a deep respect for the cast and team members involved in the project.
Satyadev explained, “I performed my duties admirably. However, during that period, my scenes didn’t align with the film. That’s why, when you initially inquired about this, I was puzzled as to how you found out. I had never shared it with anyone. It’s a matter of respect for them, and indeed, my role wasn’t suitable for the movie.

It’s speculated that Satyadev’s scenes in RRR, starring Ram Charan, amounting to 16 minutes in total, were taken out of the final cut. He explained this decision was made because incorporating his scenes would have extended the film’s runtime, leading to their exclusion.
Despite Satyadev’s character being cut from RRR, the movie garnered unprecedented success globally. It even received a Golden Globe Award and an Oscar. The film was celebrated for its stunning cinematography, remarkable performances by each actor, and MM Keeravani’s exceptional music compositions.
