As a seasoned space-faring gamer with a penchant for quirky simulators and a soft spot for fox-headed characters, I must admit I was thrilled to hear about Uncle Chop’s Rocket Shop. The delay until December 5th might be a tad frustrating, but as they say in the cosmos, good things come to those who wait!
The space repair simulation game, “Uncle Chop’s Rocket Shop,” which was initially scheduled for release in November, has been postponed. Instead, the complete game will now be available on December 5th, according to publisher Kasedo Games.
Working for Uncle Chop
In this game, you’ll take on the role of Wilbur, a fox-headed character, working at a space station located on an asteroid. Your mission is to fix as many spaceships as you can in order to meet your rent payments, which are demanding from your corporate landlord, Uncle Chop.
In contrast to his customers who derive purpose from nurturing conscious cosmic voids, mining for an elusive “Treasure”, and adoring demented celestial deities, or exploiting the minds of doughnut store employees, Wilbur yearns for a conventional life.
To maintain a normal life, he relies on various tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop items to troubleshoot issues with his clients’ spaceships. With an abundance of ships and modules to handle and limited time to address each problem, you’ll often find yourself in challenging, tense, yet exciting scenarios.
Upgrade your workshop and the lore
Studying multiple user manuals thoroughly is crucial for understanding various spacecraft models, enabling you to invest your savings (the part that Uncle Chop doesn’t claim) wisely, either by improving your tools or enlarging your workshop.
In your journey, you’ll make acquaintances with numerous quirky yet entertaining extraterrestrial beings. Along the way, you’ll uncover intricate mysteries and hidden knowledge, all while immersed in a grand storyline that offers several possible conclusions.
If you’re eagerly anticipating the game’s launch on December 5, which is scheduled for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and both Steam and the Epic Games Store on PC, here’s a heads-up: A demo of the game is already available for you to try out on Steam.
Are you interested in Uncle Chop’s Rocket Shop or did you even try out the demo?
