Actor Thalapathy Vijay, fresh from his appearance in “The Greatest of All Time” (GOAT), is preparing for the filming of what appears to be his final project, tentatively titled Thalapathy 69. It’s rumored that Pooja Hegde could take on the role of the leading lady, with Bobby Deol potentially playing a significant part as well.
According to film enthusiast Amutha Bharathi’s report, it appears that the movie directed by H Vinoth will star both these actors along with Vijay. Furthermore, it is anticipated that the production team will conduct a pooja ceremony on October 4, 2024, followed by the start of filming the next day.
It’s interesting to note that the film’s creators have shared some news about the movie. In a recent post, they’ve hinted, “Let’s see how close your predictions were,” and announced that the cast will be revealed starting October 1, 2024, from 5 pm onwards. This cast reveal event is scheduled to last for three days, beginning today.

Should Pooja Hegde indeed join the cast as rumored, this collaboration with the superstar would represent her second time working together since their 2022 film, Beast. Meanwhile, it would also signify Bobby Deol’s second Tamil film role following his appearance in Kanguva, starring Suriya.
On Thalapathy Vijay’s career side, the esteemed actor recently portrayed a double role in the film titled “The GOAT”, helmed by Venkat Prabhu. The plot revolves around a leader of an anti-terrorist squad who tragically loses his son during a family/work excursion to Thailand.
Yet, an unexpected turn of events brings the estranged child back home, yet this return conceals a perilous scheme aimed at his own father and dear ones. The film then unfolds as a game of hide-and-seek between them, culminating in one’s ultimate dominance over the other.
In the movie, Vijay takes on dual roles as both father and son. A talented lineup of actors such as Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Ajmal Ameer, Meenakshi Chaudhary, among others, play pivotal parts. Originally released on September 5, 2024, the film will be available for streaming starting October 3 on Netflix.
