Hungry? Here's what time Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef premieres live on Netflix

As someone who’s spent countless hours glued to my television, witnessing the most outrageous eating feats, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming Netflix special, “Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef“. It’s not every day that we get to see legends like Joey Chestnut and Takeru Kobayashi go head-to-head in a battle royale of all-beef hot dogs!

In an exciting new Netflix event, “Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unresolved Hot Dog Duel,” viewers can witness legendary competitive eaters Joey Chestnut and Takeru Kobayashi face off in a hot dog eating contest. The goal? To determine the undisputed champion of hot-dog consumption. Best part? This live event will stream directly on Netflix!

Lately, Netflix has been turning several of its ventures into real-time broadcasts. Apart from a special, there’s the highly anticipated boxing bout between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson slated for streaming live on Netflix on November 15th. Additionally, the live cooking show titled “Dinner Time Live With David Chang” is set to air on September 10th. Furthermore, two sports events, namely “NFL on Christmas: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers” and “NFL on Christmas: Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans“, will both be broadcast live on Netflix on December 25th.

Title rephrased: The Unresolved Beef Between Chestnut and Kobayashi: A Live Event, will stream on Netflix on Monday, September 2, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time/3:00 p.m. Eastern Time/2:00 p.m. Central Time. The competition will unfold at the HyperX Arena Las Vegas inside the Luxor Hotel & Casino. In attendance will be the 16-time Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Champion, Joey Chestnut, and his longstanding rival, Takeru Kobayashi, a 6-time champion in the same event. They will go head-to-head once more to determine who reigns supreme when it comes to consuming the most all-beef hot dogs.

15 years ago is the last time these two rivals met head-to-head. They faced off at the Nathan’s Fourth of July hot dog-eating competition in 2009, with Chestnut emerging victorious in a tense five-hot-dog sudden-death battle against Kobayashi. It promises to be captivating to witness this re-match, being hosted by actor and comedian Rob Riggle, as well as TV personality Nikki Garcia, also known as Nikki Bella.
