YouTube & Kick Shut Down No Sleep Stream After Over 250 Hours

As a long-time follower of Norme’s streaming adventures, I must say this recent stunt was nothing short of extraordinary. The man is truly a pioneer in the world of streaming, pushing boundaries and defying the norms. His determination to break records, even at the cost of his own health, is both inspiring and concerning.

Following more than 10 consecutive days of staying awake, YouTube and Twitch (previously known as Kick) decided to end Norme’s live stream. However, he managed to surpass his previous record, successfully completing the challenge on Rumble instead.

YouTube Steps In

Norm’s continuous streaming without sleep garnered significant interest due to influential streamers such as Steak and Ludwig joining in his endeavor. However, it didn’t take long before people realized this wasn’t a wise choice, and viewers grew worried about Norm’s mental well-being, urging him to halt the activity.

After spending 250 hours, his live stream on YouTube was terminated due to a breach of their community standards. To discourage similar actions in the future, they erased all videos documenting the incident from their platform.

In under an hour, even the unruly streaming platform, Kick, chose to bar him from further access, upon his attempt to persist there.

Norme Finishes On Rumble, But Not Before “Swatting”

Following the restriction of his accounts on YouTube and Kick, he opted for live streaming on Rumble instead, where he successfully set a new record. Nevertheless, there were some disruptions. As the broadcast was nearing its end, the police showed up, prompting an emergency response to assess his welfare.

As a gamer, I proudly wrapped up my marathon Rumble stream after a mind-blowing 264 hours and 56 minutes without blinking an eye. However, Robert McDonald’s Guinness World Record of 453 hours and 40 minutes still stands tall. But here’s the kicker – I didn’t rely on caffeine or performance-enhancing substances to keep going; it was all about raw determination and grit! I believe that makes me the true record holder in this epic battle of endurance gaming.

Since 1997, Guinness World Records has not been tracking the record for the longest period someone has stayed awake due to potential risks to a person’s health.
