Having captivated both critics and viewers since its October premiere, this film has garnered a resounding response with a Certified Fresh rating of 78% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 88 reviews. I can hardly wait to see Scream VI’s Melissa Barrera bring this intriguing story to life!
The movie narrates the tale of actress Laura Franco, who quietly endures a breakup from her long-term partner during her recovery period from surgery. Seeking solace, she returns to her childhood home. As if fate were mocking her, she learns that her ex is producing a musical they had collaborated on. To make matters worse, while navigating these life-altering events, Laura encounters an unusual character named Tommy Dewey who shares a bond with her. This unexpected relationship inspires Laura to pursue her dreams, embrace her feelings, and even find love for the anger within her.
When is the Your Monster Max release date?
Beginning this coming Friday, January 24, you can stream “Your Monster” only on Max. On Saturday, January 25, it will make its TV premiere on HBO. Apart from Barrera, the cast features Tommy Dewey portraying the Monster, Edmund Donovan as Jacob Sullivan, Kayla Foster as Mazie Silverberg, Meghann Fahy as Jackie Dennon, Ikechukwu Ufomadu as Don McBride, Brandon Victor Dixon as Will, Taylor Trensch as Scotty, and many others.
I had the pleasure of watching a movie that was masterfully crafted by Caroline Lindy. She not only wrote and directed it but also based it on her 2019 short film. The production was handled by a stellar team including Kayla Foster, myself, Kira Carstensen, Melanie Donkers, and Shannon Reilly. Our creative crew included cinematographer Will Stone, editors Daysha Broadway and Jon Higgins. It was an incredible experience being part of such a talented group!
