Life of Chuck – A New Science Fiction Drama
Coming to U.S. theaters in June, this upcoming movie is helmed by Mike Flanagan. It’s an adaptation of a 2020 novella written by Stephen King, who penned its original story.

What happens in The Life of Chuck teaser trailer?
In the trailer for The Life of Chuck, we catch glimpses of Tom Hiddleston portraying Charles “Chuck” Krantz, the main character in this movie. The narrative delves into three distinct phases of Chuck’s life. Additionally, Matthew Lillard, Nick Offerman, Mark Hamill, and other talented actors are part of the film’s ensemble cast.
In September 2024, Chuck’s Life debuted at its first showing at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Critics praised it, and it took home the People’s Choice Award, a distinction that frequently signals upcoming awards and possible Oscar nominations.
Approximately a month following the premiere of The Life of Chuck at TIFF, Neon secured the distribution rights for North America.
Alongside Idris Elba in The Life of Chuck, we find actors such as Chiwetel Ejiofor, Annalise Basso, Benjamin Park, Karen Gillan, Mia Sara, Carl Lumbly, Samantha Sloyan, Harvey Guillén, Jacob Tremblay, and Kate Siegel.
Prior to his current work, Flanagan had directed a couple of film adaptations based on Stephen King’s works: Gerald’s Game (released on Netflix in 2017) and Doctor Sleep (starring Ewan McGregor, released in theaters in 2019). His portfolio also includes Oculus from 2013, Hush and Ouija: Origin of Evil from 2016. However, he is most recognized for his horror series produced by Netflix, such as The Haunting of Hill House (2018), The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020), Midnight Mass (2021), The Midnight Club (2022), The Fall of the House of Usher (2023).
The Life of Chuck will be released in United States theaters on June 6, 2025, from Neon.
