As a devoted fan of IShowSpeed, I can’t help but feel a tinge of disappointment at his sudden withdrawal from Prime’s launch in India. However, being a globetrotter myself (albeit on a much smaller scale), I understand the demands and commitments that come with such a lifestyle.
Initially, YouTube sensation IShowSpeed was slated to make his debut in India during Prime’s launch on November 10, sharing the stage with popular content creators like Logan Paul, KSI, MrBeast, and CarryMinati, as well as renowned personalities. However, he unexpectedly withdrew from the event just two days beforehand, leaving many of his fans surprised.
So, here’s all you need to know about the reason behind the streamer pulling out of the launch.
What did IShowSpeed say about Prime’s launch in India?
IShowSpeed addressed his absence from the Prime launch event in India on X (formerly Twitter). “India, I’m not going to be able to make it this weekend with @primehydrate But I have something special planned when I come back,” he wrote. “I love you and I’m sorry but I’ll see you soon I promise.” The “special” thing IShowSpeed appears to have planned for India is unknown as of writing.
Various spectators exhibited a range of feelings towards the YouTuber’s reply. On platform X, one supporter expressed, “We’re alright, can’t wait to see you again next time.” Another fan on the same platform gushed, “India adores your speed!” Yet, there were others who felt disheartened or responded negatively to IShowSpeed’s temporary departure, as evidenced by a user’s comment: “Noo Speed” on X.
In September, Speed journeyed through Southeast Asia, stopping over in Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore.
In October 2023, IShowSpeed made a trip to India. During his stay, he was welcomed and worked together with renowned Indian singer-songwriter Daler Mehndi. He even danced along to one of Mehndi’s hit songs, “Tunak Tunak Tun.
As a devoted fan of the Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, I too decided to visit India, eager to support my team in their match against Pakistan. Coincidentally, I’d played cricket during my stay there as well! To make things even more exciting, I had the pleasure of spending time with the talented Indian content creator, dancer, and influencer, Ishika Bhargava, also known as IShowSpeed.
