The first photos from Yellowjackets Season 3 have been revealed.

As a dedicated fan, let me share my excitement about the gripping Showtime series, “Yellowjackets,” co-created by the brilliant minds of Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson. This captivating show first graced our screens in November 2021, with Season 2 making its debut in March 2023. In a thrilling twist, the series was renewed for a third season back in December 2022! Mark your calendars, fellow enthusiasts, as we eagerly await Yellowjackets Season 3, set to premiere in February 2025.

What is happening in the Yellowjackets Season 3 photos?

One of the photos shows adult versions of Shauna Shipman (Melanie Lynskey), Taissa Turner (Tawny Cypress), Vanessa Palmer (Lauren Ambrose), and Jeff Sadecki (Warren Kole) attending a funeral. The memorial could presumably be for Natalie Scatorccio, given that the Juliette Lewis character died during the Yellowjackets Season 2 finale, though that has not been confirmed.

In the newly released photo, I find myself looking at the younger versions of the characters, seemingly lost in the woods and embroiled in a disagreement. Jasmin Savoy Brown’s Taissa appears to be facing off with someone unseen, gripping a gun tightly. Meanwhile, Samantha Hanratty’s Misty Quigley and Sophie Thatcher’s Natalie both carry expressions of displeasure, their reasons for doing so still shrouded in mystery.

Lyle shared with Entertainment Weekly that there will be some time skips in both storylines for Yellowjackets Season 3.

She additionally expressed that a key aspect for them has been ensuring the timelines are closely linked in terms of characters and the overall impact of their experiences doesn’t just stop at the past. She highlighted that Natalie’s demise will have a profound effect on Misty, while the teenage plotline will further explore some of the growing tensions and animosities from season 2.

Yellowjackets Season 3 will premiere on February 14, 2025, on Paramount+ with Showtime.
