As a long-time follower and admirer of xQc, I must say this rollercoaster ride has been nothing short of extraordinary! From his meteoric rise in the streaming world to his high-stakes, real-life escapades, it seems he can’t seem to escape drama.
In the month of December, 2021, it became known that popular streamer xQc had splurged on a luxurious sports vehicle – a McLaren 720 S Spider Coupe, priced at approximately $327,000. However, xQc wasn’t yet licensed to drive, leading to the car being jointly registered under both his name and that of his girlfriend, Adept. This surprising move led to quite a buzz among his followers.
The Fallout From xQc And Adept’s Breakup: A $327,000 McLaren, Lawsuits, And Claims Of Betrayal
As a gamer, I had placed my trust in Adept by giving him the keys to the McLaren. However, that faith came back to bite me when we parted ways. Now, Adept is known for using the McLaren to continually pull me into conversations, much to my dismay.
The split between them was quite open, and xQc believed that he had concluded the partnership with no legal ties. However, Adept perceived themselves as married to xQc under Texas law and asserted their rights of possession instead.
It appears that Adept parted ways with her McLaren in December 2023, reportedly receiving more than $200,000 from the sale.
Details from the Lawsuit
Here are the documents from the recent court filing indicating that xQc is taking legal action against Adept, seeking a total of half a million dollars. Among his allegations are:
- Selling the McLaren 720 S without sharing the proceeds with xQc.
- Using another car, a 2022 BMW X6M, for personal purposes despite it being owned and paid for by xQc, who spent over $148,600 on it. The BMW is now valued at around $110,000.
- Registering the BMW in 2024 and using xQc’s credit card without permission, which cost about $1,500. The documents show that Adept used the BMW as her main vehicle without asking xQc for permission or paying him for using it.
As of now, neither xQc nor Adept has said anything about the court documents
