Xavier Woods Discusses Kofi Kingston Tensions Ahead of The New Day’s Anniversary

As a long-time fan of WWE and a devoted follower of The New Day, I must admit that their recent tensions have left me both worried and intrigued. Having watched them grow from a hilarious trio to one of the most decorated tag teams in WWE history, it’s disheartening to see them on the brink of potential separation.

The highly honored WWE tag team, The New Day made up of Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, and Big E, prepares to commemorate their decade-long journey. However, the trio has encountered several obstacles in recent years, particularly when Big E was forced out due to a broken neck injury in 2022.

Following Big E’s injury, The New Day team has been jointly managed by Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston. Over time, however, a growing sense of tension has developed between these two members over the last couple of months.

On several instances, it’s been noticeable that the two members of The New Day have had disagreements. These incidents have sparked speculation among fans that this popular tag team might be heading towards a split. This possible turn of events could unfold during their much-anticipated tenth anniversary, an event announced by WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce a few weeks back. Lately, Woods has shared insights about the recent conflicts with Kingston as they approach their tenth anniversary.

Xavier Woods on Kofi Kingston tensions: ‘Sometimes brothers fight’

In a chat with TV Insider, Xavier Woods from The New Day shared insights on his recent disputes with Kofi Kingston. He pointed out that disagreements are an inherent aspect of familial relationships, expressing surprise that it’s only now, after all this time, that such tensions have come to light.

In simpler terms, Woods stated, “Brothers sometimes argue. Families can have disputes too. It’s surprising that we haven’t had a disagreement until now, given our long history without significant tension. It’s been quite intriguing.” He also emphasized the strong bond he shares with his family members.

Furthermore, Woods explained, “In wrestling, there’s often jealousy or accidents leading to fights. Before long, someone might be bleeding on the streets. If such an incident occurred, were we truly close friends all along? What you observe today is simply a deepening of our bond.

Essentially, Xavier Woods characterizes his latest dispute with Kofi Kingston as a significant stage in the development of their bond, which is reminiscent of brothers. The upcoming ten-year anniversary promises intrigue as we anticipate its outcome.
