Feige expressed Marvel’s frequent phrase, “an abundance of choices,” explaining that there are numerous remarkable X-Men characters in the Deadpool and Wolverine film, previous Fox X-Men productions, and those yet to be introduced. Therefore, we can anticipate a blend of familiar and new X-Men characters when we expand our collaborations.
Feige mentioned the success of Disney+’s animated X-Men series, X-Men ’97, which drew immense enthusiasm from Marvel Studios, showcasing the deep-rooted passion fans have for the X-Men universe.
He expressed his enthusiasm over the successful return of “X-Men ’97,” saying, “It was a treat for us to witness fans rediscovering and reconnecting with that universe. As an avid gamer and die-hard fan of Marvel Comics, I’ve longed for the day when Marvel Studios would bring the X-Men to life on the big screen once more. And in a heartwarming finale twist, it turns out that Kamala’s powers aren’t just your average superhero abilities – they stem from a mutation in her genes! To add icing to the cake, as the credits rolled in, the iconic X-Men animated series theme music played, sending chills down my spine! It’s clear that Marvel is keeping the X-Men spirit alive in their universe. I can hardly wait to see where they take this story next!
