WWE Superstar Big E Sends a Special Message to The New Day

As a long-time WWE fan and avid gamer, I’ve been following The New Day’s journey since their humble beginnings when they were struggling to find their footing in the promotion. Their story of perseverance and eventual success is truly inspiring.

The New Day, composed of Big E, Xavier Woods, and Kofi Kingston – who were all unsuccessful in their individual WWE careers before 2014 – rose to prominence as former tag team champions in the promotion. It was Xavier Woods who suggested the trio come together and form this popular faction within the company.

At first, this group encountered major obstacles. Though depicted as good guys, they lacked audience favor and received plenty of jeers instead. In the year 2015, they switched sides and became heels, signaling the start of their most successful title reign as a tag team.

In the year 2015, The New Day made history by owning the WWE Tag Team Championships for an unprecedented 483-day tenure. This remarkable achievement was later outshone in 2022 when The Usos took over and reigned for an even longer period of 622 days.

The slogans “The Power of Positivity” and “New Day Rocks” from The New Day group started striking a chord with fans, resulting in their metamorphosis into fan favorites. Today, The New Day continues to be one of the most treasured and successful factions within WWE.

More recently, New Day, a well-known WWE group, commemorated ten years since their inception. In honor of this milestone, previous WWE Champion Big E paid tribute to his fellow faction members. He reminisced by posting an old photo on social media; it depicted the trio together for the first time when Xavier Woods approached them.

A Decade.

More recently, The New Day celebrated its ten-year anniversary. In recognition of this achievement, previous WWE Champion Big E paid homage to the faction. This act prompted Xavier Woods, the 2021 King of the Ring victor, to reminisce about the occasion. He mentioned that they were nearing the five-month mark until their debut match on November 28, 2014 – a date that fell during Black Friday.

In about ten years from now, we’ll be close to celebrating the 10-year milestone since our TV premiere as “The New Day” (on November 28, 2014, which is also known as Black Friday).

Currently, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston are the sole members of the group, as Big E is still recovering from a neck injury he sustained in 2022 and hasn’t been given the go-ahead for wrestling matches yet.

Despite making regular appearances on WWE shows, he’s still out of action due to health issues. Simultaneously, Woods and Kingston are feuding with The Final Testament, headed by Karrion Kross. Kross is focusing his attention on Kofi Kingston, causing speculation among fans that WWE could be planning to split the faction.
