As a fervent admirer of The Miz, I find his journey to be nothing short of inspiring. From a questionable debut to becoming one of WWE’s most accomplished stars, he has weathered countless storms and emerged victorious each time.
WWE legend, “The Miz,” is recognized as one of the most successful and acclaimed performers in the company’s annals. He boasts a Grand Slam title and has amassed numerous championship titles throughout his career, with a notable achievement being the winning of the Money in the Bank contract in 2010.
Starting from his WWE entrance in 2006, The Miz has reached remarkable accomplishments, such as main-eventing WrestleMania 27 and vanquishing John Cena. Yet, The Miz’s path to triumph wasn’t devoid of hurdles.
At the start of his WWE tenure, there were doubts about how long he’d last in the industry. He has openly spoken about the difficulties he encountered during his early years with the promotion. Reports emerged about The Miz being subjected to bullying by Chris Benoit and WWE Hall of Famer JBL.
One infamous incident involved Chris Benoit, accusing him of spilling fried chicken over a referee’s bags. This led to The Miz being banned from the locker room. He was forced to change in separate areas before the show.
After restoring his standing, The Miz was eventually welcomed back into the team’s locker room. Today, he is highly respected as one of the most experienced veterans in the roster. Lately, WWE legend Bully Ray has shared insights about the struggles The Miz faced during his early career.
Bully Ray on The Miz: ‘He went through hell and came out stronger’
On the Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray reminisced about The Miz’s struggles during his initial years in WWE. He also shared instances where respected wrestlers, paradoxically, exhibited behavior like backstage harassment.
He stated, “Miz went through hell — bad, and he came out on the other side. Let me tell you something, there are guys in this business so loved, so revered, so spoken highly of that were piece of s*** ribbers in reality, who were shoot bullies in that locker room. ‘But we love them, they had such good matches. They’re so revered, everybody loves them.’ B*******, you phony f****.”
Overcoming initial difficulties, The Miz has risen to prominence among the ranks of WWE’s most notable figures, positioning himself as a strong contender for induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in the future.
