As a longtime WWE enthusiast with decades of wrestling fandom under my belt, I must say that the current storyline involving Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu is both intriguing and full of potential. Having witnessed the evolution of The Bloodline and its members over the years, it’s fascinating to see a fresh perspective being introduced in the form of Jacob Fatu.
Previously crowned WWE Undisputed Champion Roman Reigns has been absent from WWE since an attack by Jacob Fatu. Following WrestleMania 40, Reigns decided to take some time off, allowing Solo Sikoa to assume leadership of The Bloodline. Under Sikoa’s guidance, the group underwent notable transformations, with Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman being replaced, and fresh faces like Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and the enigmatic Jacob Fatu joining the ranks.
As a dedicated gamer stepping into the ring, I’m recounting my return at WWE SummerSlam to reclaim my throne as The Head of The Table and The Tribal Chief, a position previously held by Solo Sikoa. Post my comeback, the Ula Fala adorned by Sikoa during his absence became my primary target. On the SmackDown episode of August 9, I single-handedly dismantled The New Bloodline, with Jacob Fatu conspicuously absent from the fray.
Next week, I squared off against Sikoa and managed to reclaim the Ula Fala. But things took an unexpected turn when Jacob Fatu ambushed me, and with his assistance, The Bloodline delivered a crushing blow through a table. Ever since then, I’ve been MIA from WWE programming, apparently knocked out by Fatu.
As a fervent WWE enthusiast, it seems the rumor mill is buzzing about a potential showdown between Fatu and Reigns, instead of the anticipated Reigns vs. Sikoa matchup. Yet, it appears that WWE legend Rikishi isn’t on board with the idea of Fatu squaring off against his own kin, Reigns.
Rikishi’s comments on Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu: What did he say?
On the “Off The Top” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi shared his thoughts on who Roman Reigns’ next opponent could be. He proposed two possibilities: Jacob Fatu or Solo Sikoa. However, he feels that it might still be premature to pit Fatu against Reigns in a prominent match due to their current standing.
Rikishi implied that Reigns could take two paths depending on the preference of the Greatest of All Time (GOAT). If he aligns with Jacob, it will be a positive move; if he teams up with Solo, everyone knows it’ll be great as well. However, Rikishi believes that Jacob currently has an advantage due to momentum. He feels that Solo is already established, and throwing him into a match with Roman Reigns now might be premature. Instead, Rikishi suggests letting Jacob continue terrorizing opponents on regular TV matches, as the WWE audience hasn’t fully seen his wrestling skills yet.
In the upcoming SmackDown event, there’s a massive steel cage fight planned between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa for the WWE Undisputed Championship. Plus, it seems Roman Reigns is slated to appear as well. It promises to be intriguing to see how this match unfolds.
