WWE Drops Major RAW Runtime Update

As a die-hard WWE fan who’s witnessed countless wrestling matches and seen the evolution of RAW since its inception, I must say this latest development has me both excited and nostalgic! It’s like going back to the future, but with more high-flying action and drama.

Last night’s episode of WWE RAW was held at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It was packed with significant matches and an important segment. The show began with a heated four-on-four Street Fight, where The Wyatt Family outmatched American Made.

1) Damian Priest and Finn Balor engaged in a heated argument, making it official that they will face each other at the WWE Bad Blood match.

During another heated segment featuring Gunther, Sami Zayn, and Bret Hart, the tension level soared even higher on WWE RAW. The night culminated with Adam Pearce, WWE RAW General Manager, declaring that Drew McIntyre will battle CM Punk within Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood. The evening concluded with Jey Uso triumphing over Ilja Dragunov, Pete Dunne, and Braun Strowman, securing an opportunity to challenge Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship. To add to the excitement, WWE has also disclosed a major adjustment regarding RAW’s airtime.

WWE RAW runtime set to change in October

The opening episode of Monday Night RAW brought about a monumental declaration. WWE disclosed a substantial alteration concerning the show’s upcoming direction. Since it initially aired in 1993, WWE RAW has stood as the marquee event for the company and holds the distinction of being the longest-running weekly TV series. Following its transformation into a three-hour broadcast after episode 1000, the show is poised for another significant alteration.

On their primary social media platform, which was previously known as Twitter, the promotion broadcasted the announcement. Starting October 7th, WWE RAW will adapt to a compressed two-hour format. This adjustment is set to occur every week until the concluding episode airs on the USA Network on December 30, 2024.

Starting from January 6, 2025, WWE RAW will make its debut on Netflix, marking a new chapter for the established series. Given that the show is returning to a two-hour format, it’s reasonable to anticipate that once it moves to Netflix, viewers can look forward to uninterrupted, commercial-free entertainment.
