As a long-time WWE fan and avid gamer, I’ve seen my fair share of twists and turns in the world of professional wrestling. But the ongoing saga between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk has taken the cake for me. It feels like I’m living through an interactive storyline, and I can’t help but be fully invested.
Drew McIntyre, the previous WWE World Champion and current adversary of CM Punk, is displeased with some recent actions taken by the promotion. During Money in the Bank, McIntyre encountered an unexpected attack from Punk, which unfortunately cost him a chance at reclaiming the world title.
I’ve been a huge fan of McIntyre’s ever since WrestleMania 40. Unfortunately, CM Punk has denied him three chances to claim the world title in the aftermath of that event. It all started when McIntyre angrily confronted backstage officials and Adam Pearce following Money in the Bank. Consequentially, he was suspended from WWE.
Despite being still on the mend from his triceps injury, CM Punk is slated to make an appearance on the upcoming WWE Raw. WWE’s official account announced this news along with a picture of Punk’s attack at Money in the Bank against Drew McIntyre on Twitter. Unhappy with the announcement and accompanying photograph, McIntyre voiced his disapproval.
Are you pricks seriously gonna use this picture after what just happened?

Drew McIntyre remains suspended after WWE Raw
Last week’s WWE Raw was an unforgettable experience for me as Adam Pearce warmly welcomed Drew McIntyre back to the ring. However, things took a turn when tensions flared up, and Pearce felt compelled to step in between them. Speaking directly to McIntyre, I could sense his eagerness as he openly proposed a partnership. To my relief, McIntyre seemed just as enthusiastic about the prospect of working together.
Adam Pearce emphasizes that the WWE Universe’s opinion is the sole importance in this matter. He poses a question to the fans gathered in the arena: “Are we all set for Drew McIntyre versus CM Punk at SummerSlam?” The crowd roared their approval, encouraging McIntyre to push for official confirmation. Pearce required one condition from McIntyre prior, and McIntyre agreed with a simple “Anything.”
At Money in the Bank, Adam Pearce asked for an apology from Drew McIntyre over his treatment of the referees. McIntyre, angered, rejected the apology, asserting that the referees had consistently worked against him. This led to a heated argument, with McIntyre standing firm in his stance.
McIntyre shifted the responsibility towards Adam Pearce, insisting it was Pearce who owed him an apology. He pointed out that Pearce had granted Seth Rollins an unfair title opportunity before McIntyre’s own suspension ended. In response, Pearce announced that McIntyre’s penalty was still in force.

McIntyre’s fury was further inflamed by this development, leading him to assault both referees and then challenge Pearce in a direct confrontation. But just as things were getting out of hand, Seth Rollins stepped in to prevent any more chaos, and an angry McIntyre ultimately retreated from the scene.
