As a seasoned Wuthering Waves player with countless hours spent navigating treacherous seas and battling mythical beasts, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming 1.3 update! The arrival of new characters Youhu and The Shorekeeper has already sent ripples of anticipation through our community, but it’s the tantalizing whisper of the leaked Black Shores map that really sets my heart racing.

Fans of Wuthering Waves eagerly anticipate the upcoming release of update 1.3, as they’ve fallen for the newly confirmed banner characters, Youhu and The Shorekeeper. Interestingly, these new additions have stirred up memories of a previously leaked map hinted at by Kuro.

As a dedicated gamer immersed in the captivating universe of WuWa, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement! Recently, our game has outshone Final Fantasy and Honkai Star Rail by clinching a significant award, which is quite an achievement. Adding to the anticipation, the much-awaited 1.3 update is set for release in September.

As an avid fan, I can’t help but get thrilled at the thought of fresh characters joining the game. However, what truly piques my curiosity is the prospect of unexplored territories ripe for discovery. Though not confirmed for update 1.3, the Wuthering Waves community has been reminded of a map that was leaked earlier, stirring up memories of potential adventures yet to come.

Concerning the essence of Black Shores, it refers to a map that surfaced approximately a year back. A work-in-progress (WIP) tour was uploaded on YouTube by Steparu, offering a sneak peek into the upcoming game environment. You’re welcome to watch the video below for more details:

It seems the release date for the Black Shores hasn’t been revealed yet, but speculatively, it might be version 2.0, signifying the start of a new chapter in the game’s storyline.

1. The image isn’t derived from Kuro, and it’s been serving as the profile picture for some time now, even prior to version 1.2. Additionally, Kuro hinted at the Black Shores during a developer’s talk that was shared a year ago.

Yet, quite a few enthusiasts became aware of the concept art and the WW_devteam account only recently, which served as a refresher for them that there is indeed an island known as Black Shores in existence.

In response to the concept art on Reddit, some comments express dissatisfaction that “The Black Shores” don’t seem to match their name in color, while many others are brimming with enthusiasm. As of now, there’s no information about its release date, but fans can only hope it will be part of version 2.0 or sooner.
