World of Warcraft is getting its biggest boss ever in an upcoming update, dataminers discover

In the upcoming Patch 11.2, World of Warcraft will see a reappearance of an old boss named Dimensius, the Void Lord, but this time with a fresh new appearance. This character will be part of the Manaforge: Omega raid activity and has undergone a noticeable size increase.

In the upcoming period, Blizzard is hinting at a fresh specialization for Demon Hunter gamers, while simultaneously introducing the largest boss ever seen in World of Warcraft for players to confront.

World of Warcraft Dimensius bulks up

Introduced for the first time during the 2007 World of Warcraft expansion, Burning Crusade, Dimensius, known as the Void Lord, initially appeared in combat as a relatively small boss that seemed somewhat unbefitting of his grand title “Void Lord”.

With the forthcoming update, it’s been discovered by World of Warcraft data miners that the boss has been enhancing his abilities over a 18-year period and is now the largest boss the game has ever encountered.

In the game files, it has been estimated that Dimensius, the Void Lord 2.0, towers an astonishing 3,806 feet high, making him significantly taller than Stormwind. Essentially, this colossal entity can be considered as a truly gigantic character.

Although Dimensius’ updated form isn’t anticipated to debut until the 11.2 update, which is expected in August following the game’s PTR testing, Blizzard is already hinting at the new boss. As revealed in an interview with WoWHead, lead encounter designer Drew De Sousa stated that players haven’t encountered a boss quite like this one before.

To give you an idea, prior to the latest version of Dimensius, the largest boss in World of Warcraft created by Blizzard was, or more accurately speaking, still is, the Madness of Deathwing raid. This raid occurs at the final significant encounter in Cataclysm. Deathwing himself is so enormous that players must stand on top of the gigantic dragon and break open his armor before pushing him into a Maelstrom.

18 years have flown by since Dimensius last appeared, yet World of Warcraft remains vibrant and full of life – a testament to its enduring appeal. It’s remarkable, isn’t it, how the passage of time seems almost insignificant when faced with the vitality of this MMORPG?
