Women in Blue Episode 3 Ending Explained & Recap: What happened?

As a dedicated fan of Women in Blue, I’ve been hooked since its premiere, and each episode brings new twists and turns that keep me guessing. The latest episode, available now on Apple TV Plus, left me pondering the fate of Octavio and the enigma surrounding Paola’s death.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve just learned that “Women in Blue Episode 4” has dropped on Apple TV Plus, leaving me eager to uncover what transpires with Octavio and whether Tito was responsible for Paola’s fate. The enthralling Mexican-Spanish series is set in the early ’70s and follows a quartet of fresh police recruits as they navigate their roles within an ambitious initiative aimed at integrating women into the force.

In episode 3, named “Norma,” Maria and her team uncover inconsistencies in the police investigation surrounding Paola’s death, leading them to further investigate the case. At the same time, Octavio encounters hostility from various members of the Herrera family, while Alejandro invites his wife out for dinner at his superior’s residence.

Here is what happens at the end of Women in Blue Episode 3.

Did Tito kill Paola in Women in Blue?

No, Tito did not kill Paola in Women in Blue.

1. He wasn’t the one known as The Undresser and didn’t carry out the other killings either. Maria along with others paid a visit to Tito’s mother, learning that as a child, Tito was struck in the head by a horse, leading to permanent damage in his cerebellum. This condition made him incapable of performing the crimes he had been charged with.

Additionally, it’s found that Tito’s fingerprints weren’t on the bodies of the other victims. Interestingly, there were several fingerprints on Paola’s body, but none were found on her neck, wrists, or ankles – areas where one would expect to find them if she had been tied up and strangled. However, she was indeed bound and choked. They infer that Tito possibly left his prints on Paola’s arm during attempts to determine if she was still alive.

As Maria and her companions share this data with Gerardo, he initially appears open-minded yet subsequently begins to ridicule them and threatens to accuse them of disobedience. Octavio intervenes at this point, trying to dissuade Gerardo from taking such action by implying that he might resign from the force instead.

What happens to Octavio at the end of Women in Blue Episode 3?

As Octavio Romandia, a former cop brought back into service by Escobedo to head up the female division, I’ve got a past that doesn’t sit well with most of my fellow officers. In this latest episode, I find myself at odds yet again, struggling to persuade Commander Herrera to provide us, the women of the force, with our own dedicated workspace. But, as they say in the gaming world, it’s just another level to conquer!

Shortly following Commander Herrera’s refusal, he receives a call from Escobedo, who essentially orders him to provide a room for the women. This action triggers Gerardo and Giberto to physically attack Octavio and threaten him never to challenge their father’s (Commander Herrera) authority again.

It’s possible that Octavio didn’t inform Escobedo about Commander Herrera’s initial decision. When the Herrera brothers approached him, it appeared as though they were addressing the supposed insubordination of Maria and her team, and Octavio seemed to believe he had already addressed this issue with the women, trying to convince Gilberto otherwise.

In this episode’s unfolding events, I found myself tagging along with Alejandro and Maria towards the abode of Alejandro’s superior, Mrs. Cabos. The objective was to potentially secure a promotion for Alejandro. Given the transformations in his demeanor lately, it’s evident that Alejandro is deeply rooted in his societal fabric.

Eventually, Maria reveals the secret to Mrs. Cabos. This sets off Alejandro, causing him to storm out of his and Maria’s room in a fit of anger, choosing to sleep elsewhere in their home instead. Tensions between them had been brewing due to Alejandro’s unfaithfulness, and this new development will only widen the rifts further.
