As a die-hard fan of action-comedy movies, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming release of Wolfs, directed by Jon Watts and starring none other than George Clooney and Brad Pitt! Having grown up watching their individual cinematic journeys unfold, it’s a dream come true to see them team up for this highly-anticipated film.
The action-comedy movie titled “Wolfs,” starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt under director Jon Watts, is set to premiere in selected cinemas on September 20. A week later, on September 27, it will be available for streaming on Apple TV Plus. Interestingly, Apple has already given the go-ahead for a second installment of this upcoming film.
Apple announces Jon Watts’ Wolfs sequel ahead of premiere
In their latest statement, Apple has unveiled plans for a follow-up to Jon Watts’ Wolfman (Wolfs) movie. The original movie will make its debut at the 81st Venice Film Festival, held from August 28 to September 7, as an out-of-competition selection. Originally intended for a broad cinema release, Apple has now opted for a more limited screening of the film instead.
James Watts, famously recognized as the mastermind behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man movies, penned, directed, and produced the film “Wolfs.” He has already secured a contract with Apple Original Films to continue his work on the sequel, collaborating with George Clooney and Brad Pitt.
As a devoted admirer and follower, let me share my excitement: I’ve always felt that “Wolfs” embodies the essence of what makes Apple TV+ a standout streaming platform. In essence, it represents those monumental, high-impact films that truly elevate our platform to a league of its own, offering an unparalleled entertainment experience. This is the sentiment expressed by Matt Dentler, our esteemed head of features at Apple Original Films.
“Using a fantastic partnership between George and Brad, skillfully guided by director Jon Watts, ‘Wolfs’ seamlessly combines humor, action, and emotion into an incredibly enjoyable film that leaves viewers eagerly anticipating the sequel,” he noted.
Denler went on to say, “Showing the film in theaters first, while also making it accessible for Apple TV+ viewers, provides the best of both worlds for audiences. We can’t wait to see how fans respond as we team up with Jon for the sequel.” (via Deadline)
The plot centers on two skilled troubleshooters who find themselves in a predicament when they both appear for the same task. Joining George Clooney and Brad Pitt, the movie boasts an ensemble cast that also features Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, Poorna Jagannathan, Richard Kind, and Zlatko Burić.
