Witcher devs work together with Bandai Namco to release their new game: Dawnwalker

As a seasoned RPG enthusiast with a penchant for dark fantasy narratives, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming game, Dawnwalker, from the promising Polish studio, Rebel Wolves. Having worked closely with the likes of CDPR, these veterans have proven their mettle in creating immersive and engaging worlds. The fact that Bandai Namco Entertainment, a powerhouse in publishing narrative-driven RPGs, is on board speaks volumes about the potential of this project.

Recently, the new Polish game studio, Rebel Wolves, has sealed a deal with Bandai Namco Entertainment for worldwide publication of their inaugural game, “Dawnwalker”.

Who are Rebel Wolves?

Rebel Wolves is a Polish game development studio comprising seasoned professionals, several of whom previously worked at CDPR. For example, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the CEO of Rebel Wolves, and Jakub SzamaƂek, the narrative director and lead writer, are among those who contributed to The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 projects.

Developers of Rebel Wolves found collaboration with Bandai Namco Entertainment beneficial for their project, according to Tomasz Tinc’s statement.

Not only does it share our values, but also its track record in publishing narrative-driven RPGs speaks for itself.

But what exactly is it they want to work together on?

What is Dawnwalker?

Dawnwalker marks the first release from Rebel Wolves, positioning itself as an immersive “AAA dark fantasy narrative sandbox action RPG” tailored for more mature gamers.

At present, we’re lacking details regarding the narrative. What we do know is that the game promises a storyline-focused experience, and it takes place in the medieval era of Europe.

Sadly, there’s no confirmed launch date yet. However, Bandai Namco Entertainment has shared that the game will be available both physically and digitally on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox platforms.
