As a dedicated manga reader and avid gamer with a soft spot for fantasy and adventure stories, I have been eagerly following the progress of Wistoria: Wand and Sword since its inception. Having been introduced to Fujino Omori’s work through Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, I was excited to discover this new series.

Is the Wistoria: Wand and Sword manga finished?

As of July 2024, the Wistoria: Wand and Sword manga is still currently ongoing.

From my perspective as an avid fan, I’m excited to share that up to this point, there have been 43 chapters unveiled in the series. Seven volumes have been translated and made accessible in English, while an impressive ten volumes are obtainable in their original Japanese form. The upcoming Volume 8 is scheduled for release on August 13, 2024. Kodansha USA is responsible for managing the English publication of this manga masterpiece. New chapters are consistently rolled out monthly through the convenient K Manga app as a simulpub (simultaneous publication) arrangement.

Wistoria: Wand and Sword is a manga series in the shonen genre, penned by Fujino Omori. Toshi Aoi provides the captivating illustrations. Notably, Omori is the brainchild behind Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? (DanMachi). Starting from December 2020, Kodansha has been publishing this manga under their Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. Simultaneously, Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures are handling the anime adaptation. The anime made its debut in July 2024 and can be streamed on Crunchyroll.

Tatsuya Yoshihara of Black Clover takes charge of both the direction and scriptwriting for the series. Meanwhile, Yuki Hayashi, known for his work on Death Parade and My Hero Academia, is responsible for creating the music.
