Wistoria: Wand and Sword episode 5 recap

In Episode 5, Principal Caldron kicks off the Grand Magic Festival with an opening address. The festival commences with an exhilarating sky race where Lihanna demonstrates her skills by outdoing her previous year’s performance. Concurrently, Colette invites Sion to team up with her and Will. They are in need of his assistance to accumulate the necessary 21000 credits for eligibility to participate.

In spite of Sion’s hesitations, he ultimately decides to be part of the team. Meanwhile, scouts from various regions have assembled to observe and evaluate budding mages. As guests are welcomed, the elves set up the arena for the Crown Attack game, where students will vie to grab the crown in the center of the stadium. Professor Workner is surprised to spot Will among the contestants. Nevertheless, he urges him to participate, warning him that it might lead to being ridiculed.

The game commences, and Will’s squad smoothly navigates through the obstacle course due to smart collaboration between Will and Colette. They reach the badlands, where Colette conjures swords for Will to wield. At the same time, Sion is troubled by the sight of Will exhibiting such power. Simultaneously, the team advances to the final zone. In the meantime, Julius observes that Will’s group has taken the lead and decides to confront Will directly.

Professor Edwards sets traps for them, intending to corner Julius. But instead, Julius strikes first against Professor Edwards. Then, Sion readies a powerful spell and aims it at Julius and Will.
